The only thing that is privileged about art, no matter the form (music, paint, clay…), is that the wealthy have all the free time they need to pursue it and hire teachers to help develop develop their skills. And they rarely stick with it.

I have issues where I need to control exactly what my art looks like. So ai is an issue for me because I have no artistic control over it. Also it's actually not as easy to do that as it seems, so I'd rather learn to draw then learn to prompt.

I've made digital sculpts, 3D models, headhack collages, pixel art, clay sculpts, woodwork, leatherwork, and 2D artwork in various mediums, all in my lifetime. One of my favorite things about these paintings is this is how we know how certain species looked. For example the male European lions were largely maneless and wild horses had an astonishing variety of coat colors and patterns.
