Also colleges restructured the way they function in response to the last waves of protests. My niece’s college did all they could to ensure no large groups could gather on campus for any purpose. Meetings / gatherings for organizing shut down. Kids punished academically.

My alma matter banned sidewalk chalk, which was a common organizing tactic for any event, not just protests.

The IDF had a tool it supposedly gave ro US schools to monitor any / all communication done over the campuses’ Wi-Fi networks.

Many students were suspended or even expelled. And in some cases university/college administrators even stripped former students of their degrees if they joined protests. The "choice" between protesting and graduating was often made very stark. Still is.
