I realize itโ€™s probably a pipe dream, but I keep half-hoping that Kimmel and Colbert have enough connections to Dropout to be convinced to join forces with them and help to build a fully independent comedy empire.

Iโ€™m not confident Dropoutโ€™s model can scale like that but if Lou Wilson can get Jimmy and Sam into the same room to talk shop? If Ify lures Stephen with a LOTR themed Um Actually? The possibilities are fun to imagine.

My version of that is hoping Alex Horne from Taskmaster lets them do a new attempt at an American version

Suddenly, subscribing to dropout feels like not only a small joy in my life but also a political act

I was subbed to dropout for a couple years after CH blew up (forget why I stopped, wasn't because of the content), but couldn't be happier for them

Dropout is such good value. Gastronauts is sincerely my favorite cooking show out there. I like seeing talented cooks compete in a way that feels like they all get to show off their skills rather than manufactured conflict of other competitive shows.

What the heck is dropouts?

Dropout has a pretty deep library at this point too. It's all comedy adjacent, but there's a lot of variety. There's a new cooking show called Gastronauts that's fantastic, a gameshow based on nerd trivia, "Umm Actually" and Gamechanger, where the premise is different every episode.

Streaming comedy networks with their own casts of performers and tons of shows and a big library.

Defector and Aftermath too! Written words on the web can survive on subscriber dollars.

Yeah but only those two. No other ones like a satirical news site.
