Please make it mandatory to label bots. They've killed every other Social Media platform and have caused dire impacts on the world at large.

For now, the bots are asked to reflect privately and label themselves accordingly

It's difficult because Bluesky isn't actually one entity.

Your account is actually hosted on your own little website (called your PDS).

You can make changes to that website directly without involving Bluesky at all. Bluesky just reads from your website to show others.

This means that if someone were to buy Bluesky tomorrow, another person can just make a new Bluesky that reads data from your website, and you wouldn't lose any posts or followers - you'd just change where you log in!
(Some folks have already done this - you may have heard of Blacksky, for example.)

Yeah, its kinda dumb to assume bots will label themselves by those that create them.

There are some benign bots - like posting a painting by a (long dead) artist or a poem, aphorism etc. once a week, or posting visually pleasing tilings and patterns, photographs (hopefully not scraped from the internet) on a particular topic...
