Admittedly, I know too little about him to have super strong feelings. But, from the House race he lost in (I think) to winning the Senate seat in 2020 until now, he's largely gotten better at communicating/presenting good soundbites that separate him from, say, Schumer & co.

(Even if, as I suspect, his overall voting record probably isn't what I'd like it to be. I have vague/fuzzy memories of his voting to confirm some people that most Dems voted against. Could be false memory?)
