Yeah and that man and anyone else who knew should have warned everyone else and helped support them. But letting it happen is abhorrent.

That's my take also.

Power-adjacent men must stop enabling powerful men's abusive behavior.

This won't stop until *men* stop it. Putting that burden on the abused women is vile.
