The US still needs to figure out charging infrastructure though, EV's only really work here if you live in a single family home with a dedicated parking spot. For people in cities its still (unfortunately) really impractical. Also, would be nice if there were options other than huge SUVs.

I don't disagree, we should be moving away from large single family lots everywhere in the country. A true transition to EV's should not rely on people charging the cars overnight in attached garages. Would also help if there were reasonable sized EVs available in the NA market.

What about quick charging stations where gas stations currently are? Sure, you may need to upgrade the grid locally for that, but those distances are rather short in cities.
