It's a bit more privacy forward than other browsers. Just make sure you go into the settings and turn off data collection. You can probably find a guide online for what settings to change. But I stream YouTube all day long and I never see ads at all.

Oh, one last thing, it's Chromium based, so if you use Chrome and have certain browser extensions you like to use, they should work on Brave, too.

I suggest Firefox instead of another Google-derived browser like Brave.
