The HR emails really are the worst because they'll say something like "Here's a new employee program. Click here to register" and then people's guard will be down to enter personal info since it's from HR. IT is similar. There should be communication prior to soliciting info/action.

my last job would do this but ALSO fake phishing scams that looked identical so people reported it and a day later we'd get an email like uh this thing is real sorry for not saying anything

We had an email from I guess a new Executive person but no one actually knew who they were and it was announcing some program to recognize excellence by submitting things weekly starting right away!

-requesting information
-needs it right away

Yeah, we get the simulated phishing emails, too. We get scored and ranked according to how quickly we flag something as phishing. If you fail to flag something as phishing then you get assigned additional training. Ironically I got an actual phishing attempt and they said it was legit...
