The toddler LOVES going in the garden. She is even saying something that's pretty close to "garden" now too. She runs up and down, she sits on the grass, she waters the flowers, she tries to grab the stuff drying on the washing line, she looks at the tulips. She loves it.

She's got it in her head that blue is the main colour though. "What colour is that flower?" I ask, she says "boo" first, then when we say no, attempts to say the correct colour (she can say red, for the tulips, but not yellow, for the dandelions; it's something like "yay-yay" at the moment).

Anyway, it's a relief to be able to turn yesterday's despair and fear into industriousness. Tomatoes and onions planted, pear tree full of promise, peach and plum saplings looking promising for a few fruits each, and space for the potatoes, carrots and peas being worked on.
