You can have an affair and be an excellent politician. You can be a ladies' man and be great for America. But you cannot abuse your position to get laid at best or assault women at worst and be trusted. That's corruption.

Will only add that let's throw in a blind IRS audit (they don't know who it is) for every member of Congress and really have a cleaning house party. Long overdue on both points.

Good. Do it. We all know it is long overdue. You wouldn't voluntarily work at a business that did that, attend that church, go to that social group, etc. You'd find a way to leave.

So why should the people controlling the government get a pass for the same thing? Kick them out.

And this isn't about prudish attitudes towards sex. I don't want anyone with gambling debts holding office! Or any major debt not related to housing, education, or medical issues, tbh.

Yeah someone in a legitimately open relationship or a polycule or whatever is fine! As long as there's consent and no coercion it's not disqualifying at all.
