At point of pouring, the unmelted block slammed a horrifying gush EVERYwhere, which promptly solidified on every surface (pungently) of the grad student's hood...

oh no. I bet that stunk.

During my MRes, washing one of the phases in a sep funnel. Inverted to vent the funnel. Temporarily forgot gravity existed.

You know how when a small child goes "daddy, I think I'm going to be sick?" and you attempt to catch it? Yeah, I get that now, it's a reflex.
