Who is paying for all the necessary human moderators? Agreed on Internet safety lessons, but if my lesson plans were magic bullets, then there would be far fewer people who don't understand rhetoric and logic.

Perhaps if you can't pay for the human moderators you shouldnt make a platform that needs them. If I build a deck off my house but only build half the required supports, I'm not off the hook for the code violation because I ran out of wood before I built the rest.

Though human moderators wouldn't solve anything. Reddit has tons of human moderators and cesspools are everywhere. Powertripping is everywhere. Mods paid by companies etc.

You might not be old enough to remember old school message boards and forums, which were moderated - and it was usually volunteers too.

But the issue with age verification is the fact that you can't do that without identity verification, incl. revealing every kid and making them easy targets
