No one is making you do anything, but I do ask you to replace "hate" with "knowledge, love and understanding" AI does not replace the human soul, or creation. It is the manifestation of our consciousness in physical form, where our soul intelligence evolved technology. This is a new age.

Not telling anyone else how to feel about it, but there are plenty of facts available showing how damaging it is (in multiple ways including but not limited to environmental, psychological, ethical). If you’re cool with all that, fine for you. But personally I hate it.

My professor suggested I try to use it for my language learning and I just could not believe that. I kind of refuse to tbh. I was already weirded out when it said not to use AI on one of our writing homeworks.

People can at least be held accountable for their mistakes (and quickly learn not to repeat them). But you can’t punish an AI.

A person creates and provides things. Occasionally they make an error. This is a deviation from the norm and can be improved on with practice.

An LLM creates errors. This is fundamental to its design and the same process by which it allegedly produces anything of value.

My great frustration at the moment is that I don’t have the choice to have software where it isn’t embedded. I’ve been using Apple iWork since 2007 and the new versions now have non-removable AI buttons (whether I subscribe to use them or not).
