What is your point in hashtagging the term "purity politics" in your post? Does the hashtag raise awareness to the mere idea of arguments on purity politics in some way, via the search results for that hashtag? Will using that hashtag help usefully group all arguments it is used in?

OP used it in the title of his article. The body of it says Booker is using purity politics by avoiding engagement with Piker. My opinion is that Hasan’s pledge not to vote for Newsom in the general is a stronger example of #PurityPolitics.
