I feel inspired to do something with this concept. They can already use their arms to propel themselves forward, but what if the wheel had a waterwheel canal built into it? So that they wouldn't have to use physical strength to move it and just be reliant on the water supply? ๐

One of my favorite mermaid body layouts that I've seen, truly. Cetacean type tail plus implied water breathing, letting it all be skin instead of scales. Top notch

Upon later viewing, it occurs to me that those lobe thingies may be ears adapted into sonar organs, and she might be an air-breathing mammal through and through. She would probably feel most comfortable with her head fully submerged most of the time, due to her marine-adapted nature. I love this
