I don't want to detract from the story, but wonder how much of this also comes from investors adjusting their bets cause:

1) AI simply isn't getting the results they were told it would in the speed they expected.

2) There's a big economy retraction coming as a result of this stupid war.

The war is a very intense detractor for AI investments:

- Many investors are petrodollar heavy funds
- A long term war will be catastrophic for the internal political scenario.
- Attempts to "call it a victory and go home" will be catastrophic for US relations that prop its economy.

It's a no-win.

I just imagine if a single gulf petromonarchy decide that the petrodollar deal ("we trade oil in dollars and you prop our unpopular regime") is not really worth it anymore and start to sell oil to China in yuans.

That will be so fucking damaging to US diplomacy. It will unravel a very deep thread.
