That is one of the benefits of the Canadian system

Makes it harder to fundraise for a campaign, which makes it harder for talented people to go into public service

Good news: the files containing years of donations are publicly available for anyone to download.

The bad news: the data formatting is dismal. Horrible. Whatever is used to collect this is crap.
And...
The politicians dont always report their donations. Until post election. That requires honesty.
