If you ever do find it again, put it back in the First Place You Looked For It. Probably close to where you need and use it.

(Thanks, Ann Landers!)

It will be in 'the last place you look!'

I had a genius idea lately; what if I actively put things in _memorable_ places? Like, what if the remote control for the TV actually had its spot in the fridge. Me? I’m the guy with the keys hanging on the cats collar! Memorable!

Just think of all the awesome things you'll find when you accidentally stumble on that place!

Only put them always in the *same place* so when you finally rediscover them 5 years later, it’s all THERE.

When my wife and I first moved in together, it drove me nuts how everything had to be so organized all the time.

In a container, labeled and out of view, just seemed so… excessive.

But I haven’t stood in the kitchen trying to remember where I put things so that I wouldn’t lose them once since πŸ‘€

Put things where you definitely might lose them so that your subconscious is constantly worried about losing the thing and your brain develops a horrible and excruciating condition where it constantly knows where everything is but is also constantly aware of the danger they are in

Easy peasy

You just have to pretend you are looking for something else then you will find what you are actually looking for😊
