Why are the two factions of blood-crazed fanatics so much more interesting than the godsdamned Stormcast?!

Seriously, the nuance to both the FEC & the DoK is so compelling in comparison to the Fantasy Astartes.

Like, Ushoran genuinely cares for his people, hates Nagash, & wants to help the downtrodden/oppressed. The ghoul delusion taints most of that for him & his followers, but his actions are always portrayed as sympathetic & out of the goodness of his heart.

He's a legit good king.

The ghoul lords & ladies in the Courts beneath him, Ushoran never sees as beneath him. They are his subjects, & he only wishes to lift them up, to inspire them to the greatness he sees in them.

He loves them, & they love their liege in return. They worry for him & exalt him in equal measure.
