I think it's bad when liberal Christians act confused and angry that non-Christians might be a bit reflexively hostile to the hegemonic religion they share with a whole political movement of aspiring theocrats which dominates half the country

like, is it *fair*? eh. But that's just kind of what happens when there's hegemonic & non-hegemonic groups. If you're part of the hegemonic group you have to accept that people's feelings about your group aren't always going to be fair & nuanced because that's how people are
