The US is like that neighbor who thinks its ok to buy new cars, boats, ATVs, etc., but not ok to pay for piano lessons, braces, a new mattress, or anything else intangible.
It really is ok to use tax revenue to pay for things besides war, war equipment, and bases everywhere in the world.

Huh. Now that you mention it, I feel like a lot of the MAGA base is of that same mentality, living way beyond their means in a show of bravado (big trucks! big guns! big TV!)... with absolutely no thought for tomorrow. πŸ₯΄

It's, like, a culture problem. Toxic. πŸ˜”

It is not the majority of the US. The rotten, greedy ones bought 99% of the resources, including the politicians. WE DROPPED THE BALL. We were exhausted, stressed and distracted -- exactly as the Greedy Dastards planned. There will be blood spilt, I very much fear, but do not want.

They believe in the trump doctrine!

So let's VOTE and fix this!
Americans need to get the message across that OUR TAX DOLLARS THAT WE PAY INVOLUNTARILY ARE STILL OUR TAX DOLLARS! We, the people, through our representatives in Congress, decide what is and is not a priority and what we value.
If we want to change the current way that

Republicans are using OUR MONEY, we need to VOTE THEM ALL OUT and replace them with ACTUAL AMERICANS who think and vote like WE DO.
Do 340,000,000 Americans ACTUALLY WANT billionaires and huge corporations to pay little or NO tax while profiting billions?
Do we want 1/3 of our entire federal budget

We waste more money on the military complex than the next 40 countries. It’s absolutely sick and absurd. We could solve all of our issues and improve the quality of life for everyone with a small chunk of the money we waste worshipping our military.

We don’t even know where the money goes. Literally 60% is just vaporized. We then are told we have to spend more, so we can the 40% that appears to get β€œsomething”. However those β€œthings” never even add to that 40%. WTF are we even doing?

Yeah, this administration has point blank shown us that there is enough money, more than enough to over fund bullshitt like the dept of war and dept of homeland security/ice and the billions they’re putting out for detention centers… it needs to stop and billionaires/trillionaires must pay taxes

We used to until the GOP starting with Reagan cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by over 50%
1980 top individual tax rate 70%- today 37%
1980 top corporate tax 46% - today 21%

Back in the 80’s the wealthiest corporations paid about 25% after all their tax deductions

In 2025 ZERO to 5%

One of the things on my to-do list is to create a visual presentation of how much money the US has *utterly wasted* on the military, on corporate giveaways, etc. Year by year, plus proposals for how money could have been better spent. Even most critics don't see how *enormous* those numbers are.

Well yeah. The majority of Americans worship money. Not God, not the Constitution, not even common respect. It's money. Idolizing the idea of easy power it carries, when power is earned. Pandering to those that have money thinking it's respect when in reality it's servitude. Look at US Christians.

A new mattress is an incredibly tangible thing, but otherwise, yes. Definitely.

If more people had a new mattress, there would be less hatred and misery. New mattresses for all!

The beauty of a perfectly straight smile, or a good night’s sleep, however, are intangible luxuries that not everyone can know.

That is cuz the trump family & minions don’t have lucrative government contracts in, let’s say, β€œpiano lessons, braces, mattress” type companies but are making money hand over fist in their investments in the war industrial complex & detention centers, etc.

Exactly. We as citizens have to live within our means and pay taxes, by the way we are being taxed for no representation, and the government should have to do the same. Republicans tank the economy every damn time they’re in the White House

absolutely right....except that neighbour Also wants to keep the boat in your garage, and have You pay for the new car and the ATV...

AND the piano lessons, and the braces and new mattresses, which (if the mood strikes) will then be rented to you at the low, low price of a kidney...

and lets not even mention what it's like when you invite the neighbour to dinner: nothing like the guest who hogs all the food and conversation, who belittles and insults other guests, and makes passes at their spouses...who then vomits in the coat closet, poisons the dog and diddles the children...

We HAD that neighbour. Wife kicked him out a couple of yrs ago b/c he was all about travelling out of town with the boys and his expensive new toys, & not around enough to help look after their youngest handicapped child.
