"All of these things frighten me, and they should frighten you as well. I made the decision to create a life for myself here, because I viewed this as a place that rewarded determination, hard work, and integrity. It still has a chance to be that place again."

I think it's worse that this wasn't actually intentional from your electorate, in that obvs there were a load of people not news connected who gave this the go ahead by accident

"To assert is not to prove" does not seem to be something that the people who've taken over the USA grew up with.

Maybe it's just me but, really, in the long run, how can anyplace survive without respect for the fact that to assert is not to prove?

Esta claro que Trump es un ignorante, como lo son deliberadamente todos aquellos de los que se rodea. Mi duda es si los 70 millones que le votaron lo son tambien todos o en su malloria.

The brain drain we are seeing and will see unless things change quickly will damage the USA and world for decades.

The problem is that we’ve allowed people with no expertise, and little understanding of how things work have a greater say in our politics than those who do. I mean, someone needs to explain to me how Joe Rogan has so much influence like I’m 5.

My neighbour in Alabama said after I left my job of 12 yrs and had to return to Canada, "but you look just like us!"

White people are immigrants too.

My team eventually quit after I left. Undeniably, immigrants run US tech because white Americans are too entitled to put in the effort it takes.

For many people, it's not about their personal comfort.
It's about equity for all.

People did vote with the intention to make it a USA unrecognizable to everyone. Thankfully, many of those voters have realized that what their vote lead to is not a good thing, but a bad thing. I hope that they vote in 2026 and 2028 with their minds and hearts better educated as voters.
