Only way to do this is to live more densely in cities. I am part of such a small interest group in this respect.

Whilst urban densification is important it’s by no means the ‘only’ way to spare more land for nature. In England, just 8.8% of land is urban; 70% is farmed. We need to tackle nature-harming forms of agriculture, forestry & shooting far more urgently

Of course you are right. I have this childish sleep ritual, where I imagine getting on a double decker maglev train in central London, then a series of electric buses into various UK wildernesses, mostly ancient rainforests, and I quietly watch fauna on their migrations from region to region.

I think this will have to be something but I worry that this could lead to a greater disconnect and more human/nature separation. Humans are part of their local ecosystems and have a role to play as a positive key stone species.
