Two things come to my mind:
1. In civilised countries you should be able to send damaged products back and either get the money back or get a replacement
2. Plushies can bear scars, just like us, and that's not a bad thing. If you can't sew it yourself you can ask someone to help you with that 😊

Honestly, had this happen way too many times to be disheartening. A lot of times, it's not the company, but the shipping. Honestly, I learned basic sewing just for that reason: basic repairs. Honestly, I feel if you repair the hole yourself, you have a more emotional connection to the plush.

When you repair something, you're giving it a little bit of a soul when you really break it down.

Sewing a hole in most things is honestly pretty easy would recommend.

But then think about how cute itll be with a lil colorful sewing!!! I like to use embroidery floss cuz its chunky And then its personalized and the stitches are like cute colorful bandaids

If you know how to sew, give them a lobotomy scar.
Or don't, that might not be your thing

If they doesn't accept returns, you can try to sew the hole yourself, that would make your plushie unique! ^^
And if i remember right you are skilled at sewing Basil πŸͺ‘
