You’re confusing revenue & profit. Profit is excess revenue that is paid out to shareholders as income. The government doesn’t *profit* from SNAP. It earns revenue, which it uses to pay debts & reinvests into more gov’t programs & services. The GOP want to pocket that revenue instead of reinvesting.
