Even KPDH succeeded more in spite of the executives than because of them, Netflix got it because Sony didn't have the confidence to release it on their own, and now Sony has to renegotiate with the creators for any sequels because they didn't bother to cover that eventuality in their contract

yeah it was evident that was meant to just be a dump to netflix situation that absolutely took off because it was fantastic and by word of mouth alone.
the fact that nobody bothers looking at the audience, or trying to court them with what they want, is insane. there's untold millions for the taking
