I'm 99% certain that ID verification is done by a third party that doesn't retain the images. You can call BS but their only task is a token that says if a person is a minor or not, no database of IDs necessary. Confirm and delete.

But, I don't see any other way to address the issues...

With social media and minors. There has to be some way to identify who is a minor and who isn't if we are going to restrict access to some people.

your "99% certainty" is wrong, Discord uses third parties that do keep images and that have already had data leaks.
