Two experiences in my personal life have done this for me: when I lost a lot of weight and suddenly everyone was super nice to me, and when I came out as nonbinary and everyone started picking ridiculous fights with me and being unbelievably rude. It’s like—“That’s all it takes?”

Okay I had this but in reverse for the non binary thing. Went through my whole life up to middleschool not caring about gender (big shock I'm non binary now LuL), but i was getting bullied HARD. Then I started pretending to be a guy and suddenly people stopped being shitty! Funny how that works 🙃🙃🙃

When you’re confronted with overwhelming evidence that a few pounds or a coat of nail polish can make the difference between being a person and being a thing to almost everyone around you, it’s disorienting and repugnant. People who lose a lot of weight report this very often.

Shit, didn’t mean to give you guys a sloppy crop job. That was not cool. My bad.
