I’m starting @losingourmindspod.bsky.social in part to look at this further and try to find sources of resiliency and avenues for action. It’s for my own sake as much as anyone else’s. I don’t see many people talking about this at all, let alone in an in-depth way, so I’m going to try.

I don't know if I have much insight on the topic but if you want random idiots to come talk specifically about raising kids in these circumstances, I think about it far too much for my own good

Man, I had my first kid (with an incredibly traumatic birth) about a week before Covid started shutting the country down. It’s been a trip.

I strongly identify with the losing my mind thing over the state of things. Thank you for trying to address this awful burden. I think just knowing others are feeling the same will help us all bear it a little easier.
