Impeachment is a House action. The Senate hearing is on the impeachment referral for removal. Does anyone think Johnson would allow a hearing?

Johnson only gets one vote. There are many ways to get impeachment out of the house without the speaker’s blessing. There are hurdles but not roadblocks (see also: the Epstein Files Transparency Act).

Agree it’s not impossible without the House leaders support but there are major roadblocks he can use to slow down the process. The biggest challenge is finding the dozen or so GOP members that will support it.
