I keep thinking tgat if Trump is replaced or dies who replaces him? Vance? Probably worse in every way. I agree Trump needs to be removed from office but there is no clear alternative that would make things better waiting to step on IMO.

Vance doesn't have the electoral pull that the GOP thinks Trump has. He'll still have sycophants but politically, no one is going to be scared of going against him. The post-Trump feeding frenzy in the GOP will be unrivaled in modern history.

My thought as well. They'll fall in line superficially out of necessity, but the leaks, backbiting, and jockeying for '28 and beyond will be intense.
Trump slammed a lid on ambition 2015-now, and that will POP.
