What was surprising about 24 was that *unaffiliated* and younger voters voted for him. It wasn't just the usual base of supporters. The 22% swing in Hispanic voters was a big surprise to me.

These kids have never known a non-Trump Republican party. Hispanic voters always trend conservative during swingy times. Still, my point stands. Anyone with a shred of decency would know better. It wasn't a tough assignment. Folks just chose poorly because they didn't think it would affect them.

I'll still push back on this. The exit interviews at the time were mostly just cynicism and disillusionment. You're judging the mindset of a low information voter from a high information educated perspective.
