I'd almost argue the opposite, the prices shouldn't go up because we're already paying for it. Instead, we need to quit letting capitalists gut the budget which is resulting in poorer pay and working conditions. But what do I know, I'm just a filthy commie.

You're right, cost shouldn't go up. But it has to in order to provide a liveable wage for employees. The fact that the starting wage has been the same since I first started around 2019 is embarrassing.

If I recall correctly, it slightly went up a few years ago and people complained. Usps also doesn't have permanent employees unless they get to "career" it can take years, but every year you don't make career you're basically reset as if you just started

Career boils to benefits, stable schedule and time off, and higher pay. I made career within a month of starting, bumped from $17hr to $25 overnight. But knew people who'd been there for years and were still gaining raises in 25¢ increments. I'm ok with higher costs if it means better conditions
