I never told his story because its traumatic to us, but he, like many other Jews, managed to flee the Ghettos of Europe

His family members weren’t lucky, got gassed by the Nazis, but he survived to tell the story

My grandparents and parents were German refugees from the Nazis. They are no longer with us, but they would be horrified at what the Israeli regime has been doing. Sadly my own brother is a staunch Zionist.

My Grandpa was part of the American Task Force that liberated Dachau Concentration Camp. He would be outraged and horrified at what Israel is doing. But he would be beyond proud of you for standing up and being counted among those on the right side of history. He would call you a hero.

My tante and her daughter survived Auschwitz. I'm in my 70s; we grew up with first hand accounts of the family members who didn't make it, and the ordeals of the ones who did. We learned all about the camp kapos and their role in founding the zionist state!

My cousins have ancestors who were killed in the Holocaust. My own ancestors were persecuted by the Portuguese Catholic Church during the inquisition. I can only imagine what he must have gone through 😢
