That’s one of my biggest concerns. I don’t *think* he will opt for nuclear weapons, but I also know there are no guardrails like there were last time, flimsy as they were.

I’m confident that Hegseth wouldn’t even try to push back on a nuclear strike.

This is why we shouldn’t elect insane people.

I think he wants to drop a nuclear weapon because it’s irresistible to him

If he feels he's realy losing control - of the narrative, his body, his health - I have no doubt he would want to take the world down with him if he's going down.

That's a reason to be concerned, for sure. I would think the generals/military would push back on what would clearly be an EXTREMELY illegal order??

But remember in the first awful term he’d say something like “Why CAN’T we use a nuke, what do we have them for?” And such- plenty of reports about that as he has no filters.

Hegseth takes too much glee in all of this so most definitely he wouldn’t push back. He would cheer for it.

Why do you think he wouldn't? He's certainly made comments about being eager to use nukes. I know he's a pathological liar, but can we afford not to believe him? Trump doesn't respect any norms.

We have to rely on Putin and Xi to prevent it, I fear.

Remembering his 1st term when he (DJT) was going toe-to-toe with the🇰🇵 leader about THE Button-on-their-desks-size

aside from the 🇰🇵 "dotard" diss showing not only better command of our vocabulary

but also seems we've handed over command of our fates

to our adversaries to be more sensible than us
