Nice on my mom’s side they are Methodist. On my dads side everyone is Anglican

Anglicans kept the bishops-priests-deacons structure and who is needed to create new ones.

It's why the TEC is The *Episcopal* Church; our founding bishop was consecrated in Scotland bc England didn't want the 13 colonies to have any control about our own priests.
