I'm on patches. Doing an injection on myself is not a good thought. I can relax enough if it's someone who is used to doing it to stare the needle down. Genuinely terrified I will hurt myself from an unintentional twitch or sudden muscle spasm

I was too for about five years! And switching was so scary, and I needed outside help doing them at first. Honestly the worst it hurts is when you make contact with your skin. So if you can handle poking yourself in the leg with a pencil or something that's about as bad as it'll get!
