I was checking to see about protests in Orlando and the 50501 Orlando chapter said they are not participating on 4/19. Not sure if people are showing up or not.

VT doesn’t seem to have a protest organized, neither does DC. There was no coordination done amongst the various states and groups in the various states to show a unified force this time. A little disheartening.

I think you're right in a sense. The billionaires won't care. But our elected representatives will see how fired up their constituents are, which will motivate then to work harder because most want to keep their jobs. Also it is building community and priming people for bigger resistance efforts.

4/19 is getting less attention than 4/5 cause it doesn’t have as many national orgs behind it. Also, there will probably be less sites listed because organizers are burned out. You may have only heard of 50501 just before 4/5, but they have been active with 3 protests since 2/5 building it up.
