The timing is not quite that - the protests were in steep decline in the fall of 2024, due to cohort change. Jewish students at Columbia and such reported a sharp fall in anti-Semitism then compared with the 2023-24 academic year.

I mean you're probably right there, too, I just think there's also a broad social aspect to this.

I think a lot of the decline in Fall 2024 was the election taking the oxygen out of all other politics. The non-resumption thereafter, I think is because the immediate goal of Palestinian rejectionists is to win support away from 2-state solution backers, and protesting Trump doesn't serve that. 1/2
