See I do something like this except it isn’t a gaslight thing, I just like making a convincing fake broadcast and going “hey let’s chill out and watch cartoons like it’s 2005.”

I think I’ve actually done a pretty good job, but also…not like I can show anyone. It’s blatant copyright infringement.

Yes, and the commercial breaks are retro commercials, and the breaks are shorter so it’s a bit more like your memories, and it’s played on a CRT for nostalgia. Basically I want to recapture the vibe of just leaving a channel on for hours when I was a kid, but through that rose colored glass

It’s a shame bc like…it’s not the same as distributing bootlegs or pirated copies, it is its own unique experience…but it’s still a copy and redistribution so can’t post it publicly online.

…now I can get folks in a discord call or a local party irl to watch it but it’d be fun with an audience.
