I see no correlation between your comment and the cartoon featured. Brains are required for: 1) conciliation between parties in conflict, 2) moderation in alcohol use, 3) setting boundaries for children who want excessive freedoms.

It’s a three panel cartoon, so there will always be some degree of shorthand/simplifying involved, but I don’t feel any of the mothers here are being maligned, and certainly not portrayed as brainless. I think their sons are more the butt of the joke.
