GAME CHANGER: Montana just found the "exit ramp" to kill Citizens United. They aren't waiting for the Supreme Court—they’re going around them. 74% of voters are on board and corporate lawyers are PANICKING. This is how we win.

Dear Cali, you have the opportunity to vote for a candidate that rejects Citizen United for herself and for you. You have the rare opportunity to vote for someone not taking corporate or AIPAC money. Take it!!! Learn from past mistakes. Reject the billionaire that will never go against his caste.

I love the energy around a state combatting Citizens’ United at the state level when granting charter…but idk how it holds up.

CU declared corporate money free speech. Are we expecting SCOTUS to let this stand when they can easily say states don’t have the right to legislate away free speech?

The Montana Plan, once it gets past the procedural hurdle. California’s AB 1984 and Minnesota SF4513/HF4235 and SF4240/HF 3419 are also on the horizon.

Hell fucking yes, Montana!!

Getting dark money out of politics could literally save America. Imagine the United States without superPACs, foreign influence, and paid private access to politicians. A government for the people and not corporations.

If that true then other states should do it.

End citizens united.

Maine already did this, or something close to it. The courts immediately set about dismantling it. Details, and a solution, are here:

Bipartisan team of former Montana officials have unveiled an oddly simple yet startlingly robust legal mechanism for undoing Citizens United that pares back the list of corporate powers granted by state corp. law. Drafted a constitutional initiative and are steering it toward Montana’s 2026 ballot.

At this point it is absolutely vital for survival in ways people recognize and some they don't see yet.
